Beloved ones,
UPDATE ON GLOBAL PRAYERQUAKE 2004 (JANUARY 8, 2004)
The opening prophetic intercession focused on "Casting your yoke unto Christ"
Every missions, ministerial and personal needs were prayed for. A high praise
followed.
In the plenary session with the topic: How Nigeria's Church Leaders Can
Facilitate Global Missions, Cosmas Ilechukwu explained that the moment one
starts thinking God's thought concerning everything he sees, the more likely to
catch a vision. Nigerian church must know that without commitment nothing is
achieved. We can support missions through networking with mission fields all
over the world. We can send money, people or pray for the global missions.
Daniel Foo (Singapore) said, "You can't conquer any new ground until God has
conquered new grounds in your life". Conquering new ground is like Elisha's
journey with his master Elijah, to Jordan (1 Kings 2). The first place to pass
is Gilgal. Using the principle of first mention - Gilgal is a place of
circumcision. It is dying to the flesh and living in the spirit. It is denying
yourself daily. The next place to pass through is Bethel, a place of building of
altar. It is a place of meeting with the Lord, a place of renewal and
brokenness. Jericho is a place of warfare where strongholds in your life is
teared down. Heb 1:1 - excess baggages must be thrown away to avoid casualties.
Jordan is a place of baptism of death and to resurrection (Josh. 6). Here God
purifies us to serve him in holiness and righteousness - Luke 1:74, 75; Zech
4:6.
Speaking on Today's Youth and How to Recover Them, Dr. Kole Akinboboye disclosed
7 things necessary for this. They are divine vision, divine mandate - you need
to understand them, divine strategy, building on the rock, putting youths to
work - they must not be idle, divine training and divine birthing. This message
was followed by prayers of deliverance and commissioning for the youths to go
forth and do exploits for the Lord.
A Jew, Rachael Mattar, married to an Egyptian, called African to arise because
they are the restorers and the repairers of the bridges. Isaiah 19:23-25. Israel
and Arab's restoration is tied to Africa. Africa is that highway. She said that
the way to Jerusalem is unconditional identification with the lost. God is on
the side of the lost and the purpose of Calvary was to reach the lost. She
brought repentance to the African women for maltreatment of Hagar, which has
brought rejection, and subjection on African women.
In response to her message, African women went out to the altar to receive the
repentance. Barrister Emeka Nwankpa, the leader of Intercessors For Africa (IFA)
also brought repentance to the Jews for oppressing and refusing to let them go
from Egypt.
We had as usual, 24 Schools of Ministry covering all areas of ministry. The
evening session was hilarious with praise, worship, offerings, and testimony
unto the Lord. It was a healing night and many went home healed after a message
and prayer session led by Rev. Mosy Madugba.
In a special testimony by a pharmacist, we discovered a plant that can take care
of quite a number of diseases. Phyllantus Amarus had been there all this while
but most of us in Nigeria had not recognized the healing part of it. Also, a
special offering of raising money for our conference permanent site was made.
The money is not yet complete. We are still expecting your own contributions.
There were so many testimonies concerning the previous conferences.
UPDATE ON GLOBAL PRAYERQUAKE 2004 - Day 6
This was the last day of the conference. It was Africa's Day, started with
Praises, worship and prophetic prayers.
The morning session was focused on the Youths and the Francophone world. The
first speaker for the day, Evang. Gideon Para-Mallam spoke on How to mobilize
the youths for global missions in Africa and beyond. He emphasised that the
youths in Africa need to be fully mobilized if the gospel must be sustained
through the next generation.
Speaking on Spiritual State of the Francophone World and what we can do to
change things, Bishop Chris Raymond explained that the mission field is ripe.
He mentioned that in Cameroon, it is difficult to gather up to 2000 people for
a convention, no matter how great it may be. There is dubious living in the
francophone countries, the social life is poor, education is neglected. Hunger
kills more people than aids. The national treaties in France and Islam ride
over the back of so many factors to oppress the people. He enumerated other
missions needs in the francophone world and urged everyone to begin to invest
there, through prayers and ministry. Many responded to a call of commitment and
prayers of agreement were said.
The prophetic intercessory prayer that followed was that churches will be
mission friendly and that the structures that stand against understanding one
another be demolished. Idolatry was also dealt with. (Jeremiah 10:11, 15)
The Schools of Ministry covered the following seminar type
1. Apostles/Prophets and Missions
2. Businessmen/Women and Missions
3. Pastors and Missions
4. Evangelists and Evangelism and Healing Ministry
5. School of Leadership
6. Civil servants and Missions
7. The teaching profession and missions
8. Prayer in Missions
9. Women and Missions
10. Youth/Campus and Missions
11. Mission to and with Children
12. Medical/Oil Industry and other professions in missions
The schools of ministry had two sessions each day.
The evening session started with praise and worship. It was a special night.
Words from the Lord said that the church should arise, move out of the comfort
zone and face Islam at this time. God said, He will teach our hands to war and
our fingers to fight. He said that there would be great opposition, but we
should put on strength. He said Sudan, Rwanda, Europe and the Eskimos should be
prayed for. All the continents were also prayed for, for spiritual awakening
and sensitivity, on prophetic instruction. Seven persons were called out to
represent the seven continents.
In the prophecy, the Lord said He was pouring fresh water to the thirsty and
that He was going to put fresh air and laughter in Africa. He told us to avoid
pride because it does not lift anybody up.
The last message, The Chariots of Israel was delivered by Rev. Mosy Madugba. He
preached from II Kings 13, where Elisha asked Joash, king of Israel to smite the
bow on the ground and he did that only three times. He used the passage to
encourage all Christians to be spiritually sensitive, understand the times and
the need of the hour, be persistent and steadfast so as to win every battle
before it comes, both for themselves and the generations after them. Prayers
were said in this regards.
The last event for the programme for a Holy Communion Service.
