This report was written by Pastor Williams of Sierra Leone, of the opening of Ministers Prayer Network in Sierra Leone.
 

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This report covers events since February to August 2003.

DISCET was asked to coordinate the historic 1st Sierra Leone Ministers Prayer Network Conference from Wednesday 30th July to Saturday 2nd August 2003. At the invitation of the International Coordinator, Rev. Mosy Madugba of Nigeria, the DISCET Board under the chairmanship of Rev. D. H. Caulker agreed at its Sixteenth Meeting on 27th February 2003 that DISCET should coordinate and facilitate the activities for the Conference.

The remarkable conference started with a little over 600 participants on Wednesday 30th July, and then the momentum grew as by word of mouth others were told of the outstanding teachings and fellowship. By Saturday night the over 1000 seats provided were full to capacity. Many participants came in for the morning sessions starting at 9:00 a.m. and stayed on till the end of the evening sessions which sometimes went on till after 10:00 p.m. and on the last  after 11:00 p.m.

The comments on the conference were in superlatives. Many said it was the best conference they had ever attended. Many testified that they had learned things at the conference that they never knew before.

We are very grateful for the inspiring message given by the Founder and International Director of the Ministers Prayer Network, Rev. Mosy Madugba from Nigeria. We are also very grateful for the inspiring messages and ministries given by all the speakers, namely,

Inauguration of the Sierra Ministers Prayer Network
The Sierra Leone Ministers Prayer Network was formerly launched on Saturday, August 2, 2003. At the follow up meeting held on Saturday 9th  August 2003, Ministers of various denominations eagerly attended and we agreed to meet once a month on the last Saturday of each month, starting on Saturday 27th September, at the Christians in Action Church, Pademba Road, from 2:00p.m.

Directory of Sierra Leone Ministers
A directory of Ministers  in Sierra Leone was formerly launched at the opening ceremony on Wednesday 30th July. It is expected to be finalized for sale by December 2003.

Indeed this visitation by God through His servants will be remembered throughout history. The team from Nigeria demonstrated the Two Hand Gospel Principle by caring for both the spiritual and physical needs of Sierra Leoneans through baggage of relief materials sent to us, which is yet to be distributed.
